MILPUJ-LA HEREDAD
The ACP Milpuj – The Inheritance is a perfect place to stay and get to know the different tourist destinations of Amazon. Doña Lola and Perico, who protect this area since the year 2000, you receive all of them in their home and in the shelter as their own family, with a big smile and a lot of stories to tell. Be inspired by this space magical and full of love to nature.
Tourist attractions in the ACP and the surrounding area
From its strategic location in the valley of the Utcubamba you can visit Kuelap, Leymebamba Museum, the Mausoleums of Revash, The Jalca and its tropical forest, seasonally dry with its trails, farm didactics, the apiary, the greenhouse, the nursery where you'll be able to see the harvest of tara and roasting of coffee, the Inca trail or Qapac Yum that runs through part of the area.
Representative species
In the ACP you can find different species among which stand out the owl Koepcke, spinetail Baron, andean fox, gray deer, reptiles, Cat the Pampas, butterflies, ferns, and a large number of orchids.
It is the only ACP with the Cedar of Kuelap.
How to reach
An hour and a half by road paved from Chachapoyas to the ACP, 500 metres from the Bridge Nogalcucho.
