HISTORY
FIRST ACP
Huiquilla became the first private conservation area (PCA) to be recognized in the Amazon and the fourth in Peru.
AN IDEA
The idea came to create the Network. It sought the support of the SPDA (Peruvian Society of Environmental Law) to submit the initiative to the majority of the ACP. Although the initial reception was positive, with the changes in the boards of directors of the initiative was rejected.
BORN THE NETWORK LOVES
Then resume the process, on the 18th of may is the Network of Biological Diversity of the Amazon, the Network DBA. He was born with seven ACPs : four individual (Huiquilla, Milpuj – The Inheritance, San Antonio, and Forest of Berlin) and three communal (Copallín, Herb Good – Allpayacu and Tilacancha)
WE CREATED AN IDENTITY
Se modificó el nombre de la Red a «Red de Conservación Voluntaria de Amazonas» Red AMA y se creó el logotipo e imagen institucional de la Red.
THE NETWORK LOVES TODAY
Is the network of voluntary conservation largest of Peru with 164,327 hectares protected.
